| MEG attends Informal consultation IEHK 2011 |

As one of the major supplier of the Interagency Emergency Health Kit MEG was invited to attend the informal consultation on the supply of this kit, hosted by UNICEF in collaboration with WHO EMP in Copenhagen.
The following topics were discussed:

Feedback on the survey on the supply of the IEHK 2009

Interactive session: Malaria module: selection of Rapid Diagnostics

Interactive session: Current challenges in sourcing of selected products
Apart from representatives from Unicef and the WHO also pharmacists and procurement officers from the ICRC, IFRC and MSF attended.
We see the IEHK as a key item in our product range and therefore we recently expanded our warehouse capacity in order to comply with the agreements we have with leading agencies which work under the OCHA health cluster, to respond for instance within 24 hours in case of emergencies like a cholera outbreak or a natural disaster. This new warehouse features temperature and humidity control and two extra packing lines dedicated for kits (amongst others IEHK). In this way we can respond to the increasing demand for kits, not only from our usual customers, but also from other organizations.
